Cooking:
1. Boil rice.
2. Heat oil until very hot and fry - in the following order - mustard seed, cumin seed, chili, garlic, onion, ginger, turmeric and coriander seed. Do this quickly so that the seeds are fried and not burnt.
3. When onion gets soft, add remaining veggies except tomatoes and fry for a few minutes until the cabbage is golden and veggies almost soft. Add tomatoes and boil for another minute. Add tomato paste and lower heat. Add a little water and simmer until veggies are done.
4. Serve with rice. |
